Hello,

Hello, my name is Lori Ann Blethen and I create beautiful custom cakes for my clients.  I studied under Jacques Torres, Victoria Wells, and the world famous Deiter Shorner at the French Culinary Institute School of Pastry Arts in New York City where I received a world class education.  I continued my studies at the International School of Confectionery Arts with special instruction from Colette Peters, Toba Garrett, and Sue McMahon from Great Britain followed by many years of study on my own.

Wildflowers cakes are a favorite among editors having been featured in InStyle Weddings, The Knot, American Bride, Bride's Magazine, New Jersey Life, New Jersey Countryside, Celebrity Living Magazine, Departures, and American Cake and Baking to name a few.  Featured on the Discovery Channel, Food Network, The Today Show, movies, and on display in museums; my designs continue on the forefront of unique style and design.

My choice to work independently rather than in a production shop was largely founded on the principle that I always wanted to maintain room for never ending creativity and to never sacrifice quality for the sake of efficiency.  In my special studio, I create one-of-a-kind cakes without ever having to operate under a time clock.

 

I enjoy having that freedom and it really shows in my work.
